Ensuring the Future is Bright for Native Animals

As surely everyone in Australia and many millions around the world now know, Australia’s native animals have suffered greatly over the past few months. Unprecedented fires have ravaged populations on the east coast with Koalas in particular edging ever closer to the endangered species list.

Whilst numbers of remaining koalas remains a topic of debate we at Greenroom believe that we are in a unique position with our ANiML software where we could play a significant role in detecting, counting and mapping koala populations in a short period of time.

Working with a drone operator we can provide a complete analysis and report of native animals within the survey area within a level of confidence. Presenting animal types and locations using both images and client operated maps allows greater understanding and planning for the future steps of the conservation process.

Example of how we present animal detection data from AniML.

Whilst we understand and agree that the danger of this fire season is not over and that a huge effort is required to conserve Australia’s native wildlife this environmental catastrophe highlights another area where Greenroom technology can be utilised.
