About the Role
We're seeking passionate Robotics Engineering Interns and Recent Graduates to join our dynamic team. You'll get hands-on experience working with our ROS2-based robotic systems, including field testing and deployment of our Lookout+ perception system and GAMA autonomous navigation platform.
What You'll Do
- Write and debug Python and C++ code for robotic systems
- Integrate hardware components and sensors on maritime robots
- Participate in field testing of autonomous systems in real-world environments
- Learn to work with ROS2 framework and contribute to our robotics stack
- Collaborate on software testing and validation processes
- Assist with data collection and analysis for perception systems
- Document technical processes and contribute to knowledge base
- Support the team with practical implementation of robotics solutions
Who You Are
Academic Background
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Strong academic performance demonstrating technical aptitude
Technical Skills
- Basic programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Understanding of fundamental robotics concepts
- Interest in ROS/ROS2 (prior experience is a plus but not required)
- Basic knowledge of sensors and actuators
- Enthusiasm for hands-on hardware integration
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with Linux operating systems

- Eager to learn and quick to adapt to new technologies
- Hands-on problem solver who enjoys practical challenges
- Team player with good communication skills
- Self-motivated with a passion for robotics and autonomous systems
- Willingness to participate in field testing and outdoor activities
