From Precision Control to Sensor Fusion: What’s New in Greenroom’s Platform
New features and updates to drive efficiency and future-proof your fleet
Our engineering team is always hard at work, building new features to help customers drive efficiency, reduce risk, and future-proof their fleets. And in the back half of 2025, they were busier than ever.
Over the past six months, we’ve released a range of features focused on precision autonomy, smarter navigation, and clearer situational awareness. Here’s a recap of what’s new.
Precision in all environments with Dynamic Predictive Control
Available on selected GAMA plans
Whether you’re following an ROV, holding a tight survey line, or performing autonomous refueling, some missions demand a higher level of precision. GAMA’s Dynamic Predictive Control continuously reads environmental conditions and optimizes vessel actuation to keep your vessel exactly where it needs to be.
Dynamic Predictive Control now supports a range of advanced autonomy behaviors, including:
- Optimized multi-waypoint navigation with reduced cross-track error (CTE) (more below)
- Superior track keeping and station keeping by actively countering wind, waves, and current
- Dynamic or Fixed Heading modes to stabilize the vessel or protect ROV tethers
- Vectored control for fully actuated vessels requiring advanced maneuverability
- ROV trailing support (see below)
This means GAMA equipped vessels are now able to unlock more complex, precision tasks like ROV following, as demonstrated by the Tenggara Explorer recently. When performing these tasks, operators are no longer required to make micro manual adjustments to actuators, reducing workload and fatigue.
With tighter line-keeping and better environmental compensation, Dynamic Predictive Control also improves navigational efficiency, reducing fuel burn and emissions.
Optimized multi-waypoint journeys
Available with Dynamic Predictive Control on selected GAMA plans
Multi-waypoint support within GAMA’s Dynamic Predictive Control optimizes your navigation path by anticipating point B and adjusting for conditions before reaching point A, the way a human operator would.
The result is reduced cross-track error and steadier engine RPM, eliminating the inefficient over-shooting of a waypoint and aggressive course correction.
In Dynamic Predictive Control mode, operators can also see a predicted path, providing short-horizon visibility of where the vessel is heading relative to its target.
When keeping a tight line is important such as for survey or mapping missions, or anytime you want the most efficient path, Dynamic Predictive Control optimizes multi-waypoint missions. The result is precision, saved time, and reduced fuel consumption across your journey.
A single, stronger source of truth with multi-sensor fusion
Available on selected GAMA and Lookout+ plans
Multi-sensor fusion consolidates detections from multiple sensors such as AIS, radar, and optical perception, into a single, enriched object.
With detection consolidation, human operators and autonomy solutions benefit from more accurate geolocation, resulting in safer and more efficient navigation and collision avoidance.
Multi-sensor fusion ensures objects remain consistently tracked even when detection lapses, such as when a small vessel passes behind a larger one and reappears on the other side.
Within Lookout+, multi-sensor fusion also enables tracking continuity when an object moves between the fields of view of multiple cameras. And when an object is beyond camera detection, back projection will bring it onto your display informed by other sensors.
As well as efficiency, crews will benefit from decluttered charts, richer and more reliable detection and reduced false positive detection.

Trail other vessels autonomously for efficiency and safety
Available on selected GAMA plans
Whether you’re chasing, escorting, or operating alongside another asset, with GAMA you can now autonomously follow other vessels with ease.
Operators can choose between:
- Global offset - ideal for maintaining position relative to small, agile assets
- Relative offset - suited to trailing another vessel, such as following a mothership or a patrol pursuit
GAMA handles precise positioning relative to your target so that onboard crews can focus on mission tasks rather than continuous vessel maneuvering, improving safety for crew and assets.
ROV trailing without the DP-class price tag
Available with Predictive Autopilot on selected GAMA plans
Deploying ROVs or AUVs often requires an expensive DP-class vessel, or a skilled helmsperson performing constant micro-adjustments to propulsion and thrusters to position the vessel relative to the ROV. Until now...
We’ve been working with Unique Group to integrate GAMA with Sonardyne’s USBL system, enabling it to receive ROV position data, while Dynamic Predictive Control safely and efficiently controls the vessel relative to the ROV. Fixed heading control keeps the ROV’s tether free from the vessel’s hull.
This means offshore projects can benefit from
- Significant cost savings – Traditional DP vessels can be prohibitively expensive to hire, crew and run with heavy fuel burn. Day rates are reduced by up to 80% using a GAMA equipped workboat rather than a DP-class vessel.
- Faster and simpler mobilization saving time and money.
- Reduced risk – by using smaller vessels with smaller crews, operators reduce risk and improve both safety and efficiency.
For boat operators like Tenggara Explorer, it means
- New mission types – allowing existing workboats to take on tasks that historically required a DP-class vessel, unlocking a broader variety, and potentially higher-value projects
- Bridge teams can focus on what matters – With GAMA managing precise positioning, bridge teams can maintain higher vigilance and focus on project oversight, data quality, and safety
- Advancement on the autonomy roadmap – helping to unlock the benefits of autonomy, alongside DP-level control
Together, these updates bring higher precision, clearer situational awareness, and greater operational efficiency to everyday maritime operations. From Dynamic Predictive Control and optimized multi-waypoint navigation through to multi-sensor fusion and ROV trailing, each capability is designed to reduce workload, lower risk, and unlock new mission profiles without the cost and complexity of traditional solutions.
As operators face increasing pressure to do more with leaner crews, tighter margins, and higher safety expectations, Greenroom’s platform continues to evolve to meet those demands. These latest enhancements not only improve performance today, but help future-proof fleets for a more autonomous, efficient, and sustainable future at sea.
